Since 1954 the family Rigoli / Bezzoli, for centuries residents in the area of Lake Maggiore, started in the early 1900’s the hospitality industry with a caterer and began the hotel business in an old house by the lake built in 1942 as the future home for a married couple, offspring of fishermen, so that they could combine the two already active family businesses, fishing and hospitality.

Unfortunately, not all love stories have a happy ending, this ended with the breaking of the engagement causing serious disagreements between the two families, especially for breaking the future partnership!

Grandmother Adriana Rigoli bought in 1954 with great audacity this ruin of a house, abandoned for more than 12 years, with no access road, with the tanks for breeding fish on the ground floor, two semi apartments on the first and second floors, but with a beautiful view of the lake.

The transformation to a hotel began right away, helped by very young daughters Elena, Rosa, and son in law Ferruccio, with very little money but with a lot of passion, hard work and great sacrifice.

We can say that after 3 generations, respecting the environment, with professional and family cordiality, we continue to welcome to the lake, loyal guests from all over the world, who in addition to the beauty of our land, can also enjoy our enviable location on the edge the lake, near cities of art and among the most beautiful mountains in Europe.
